At Black Bear Training, we are passionate about helping young athletes reach their full potential. With a foundation in soccer, baseball, and athletic development, we combine proven training methods with a results-focused approach to build speed, strength, agility, and confidence.

As a lifelong athlete with 20 years of experience as a healthcare practitioner, our founder, David Youran, brings a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and movement mechanics. He began coaching youth sports over ten years ago, an experience that sparked his passion for helping young athletes grow both physically and mentally. This expertise shapes every program we design, with a strong emphasis on proper technique and injury prevention - so athletes not only perform better, but stay healthier in the process.

We also understand the athlete’s journey because we live it. As parents of a competitive soccer player, we know firsthand the demands on athletes and families - the practices, tournaments, travel, and the commitment it takes to balance performance with health and enjoyment of the game. That perspective guides everything we do, from how we structure training to the kind of positive, high-energy environment we create.
